bad education

hi students,
welcome back to halifax. please be quiet.

p.s. just made brownies from a mix. please do not judge. do you know how easy those things are? there are four ingredients and one of them is brownie mix. and also you only need one bowl and one spoon. I am pretty sure my usual brownie recipe involves more bowls than will fit in the dishwasher, a double boiler and a half-pound of butter. and probably six eggs.

Haven't I told you of the virtues of brownies from a mix? Superior to anything I have made from scratch. Now if you would listen to my suggesting you make my recipe for chocolate chip cookies (not from a mix incidentally)rather than your rather complicated one with ten types of sugar, two types of vanilla extract and six types of chocolate chips, you would have so much time on your hands!

I love making mix brownies! They are dangerously easy and delicious. I also like to make them a bit more interesting by adding nuts and chocolate chips and instant espresso powder. but maybe you're a brownie purist who isn't into additions like that.

I don't know, don't all those additions dilute the guilty pleasure?

this time I had a mix with chunks of chocolate ("european chocolate" no less) but perhaps if my next box is plain (omg I am already conceding that I will repeat this lapse in standards) I will try an emily mae addition
