book review

water for elephants, the most recent work from canadian author sara gruen, features some of the most spectacular ligatures this reader has seen in some time: the tail on the capital 'Q' trails on not just under the subsequent 'u' but well into the next letter as well. spectacular! luxuriant! 5 stars!

Is she Canadian? I didn't know that. And why are you posting on a blog, aren't you supposed to be learning the symptoms of heart attacks etc rather than rating fonts?

haha - they do make blogs about the stuff I am supposed to be learning. unfortunately, i prefer to read about knitting - clearly you can't win.

PS Simon - you should download Cartier font - do your patriotic duty and use Canadian-designed font!!! It looks nice too.

Clearly, you have forgotten about my Learning Blog...

(which has since been replaced by my personal wiki site, although since I'm the only one using it, I guess it's technically not a wiki)
