poetry

"woman"

woman whose car is covered in 2 feet of snow
why are you wearing a wool coat?
your black coat is now white.

clearing the snow from behind your car
requires more than wild kicking.
now you have fallen over

oh good you have returned with a shovel.
it is a child's shovel:
I hope you are not in a rush.

Simon, as anyone who ever saw your brilliant impression of Peter Mansbridge knows, you have missed your true calling.

If you see any more tony black-coated yuppie ladies falling down comically, please take pictures!

You should have taken a spatula from your kitchen and gone to help her instead of watching from inside and writing poetry!

I will do my best to take pictures next time. perhaps I will even heed my mom's advice to film it and put it on youtube.

mila, I won fame and eternal glory.

and julian, I am thoroughly impressed by your memory.

yeah luke, I don't think you should be in any field which exposes you to issues of public health.

simon, you also got your name on a wall!

i don't think exposure to public health issues is the problem - just exposure to health issues in the public.

mila, I like my job! And I have been worrying about CJD since I was literally 8, so this is nothing new!

Simon got his name on something (a cup?) in first year for his speech about Gomes, his invisible friend. It was such a cute speech. Great topic, if I say so myself. I didn't think he got anything for the Brian William's speech but I could be wrong.

The invisible friend was Gones, not Gomes, I think, and his friend was Sally.
