What's a buffet lamp? Do you eat off of it?
where is the torchiere in this list?
the buffet lamp is a travesty of ill-proportioned lighting: a tall, skinny fixture, with an absurdly small shade perched at the top. frequently found atop buffet tables, hence the name, and often in pairs, as though one of these lamps was not bad enough on its own.
and bronwen, would the torchiere not be grouped in with floor lamps, or do you feel it merits its own category?
