thanks everyone for getting my killer yuzu-masala beef wellington zing yesterday. if I were hanging out with toronto chefs they would have laughed so hard. well maybe not stadtlander and kennedy, they seem kind of serious. but thuet would have laughed. and sworn. david lee would have laughed so hard for sure. did you see those pictures with him mugging for the camera with steven 'cumbrae' alexander? jaunty!

Cumbrae's is overrated. Though their shepherd's pie has improved, I have to say. Last time I was there, half their refrigerators were not working, I suppose they are fixed by now.
PS What is yuzo? A cross between yucca and orzo? Sounds weird.
I had a disappointing chicken wrap at cumbrae's two weeks ago. I know it's not their specialty, but it ruined my day just the same!

yuzu, which I misspelled (twice), is an asian citrus fruit similar in flavour to the lemon, with perhaps a bit of grapefruit.
I see that you made 52 posts in May. i can't believe it. Perhaps you should get a part time job when you are at med school, since you seem to have so much time on your hand. And why not just have a lemon and squeeze some grapefruit into it, rather than buying this new type fruit?
