I do not want to see our electricity bill for december

the dimmer for our christmas tree lights just melted. evidently standard-issue residential dimmers are not made to handle the demands of an EV christmas tree.

I think they're too close to the coastline for global warming to be a problem, green mom.

COASTLINE IS AT GREATEST RISK! FLOODING! STORM SURGE! TSUNAMIS!

btw xmas lights now divided onto two dimmers on two different circuits. dimmers still seem dangerously hot. may be violating some sort of code. and by "may" I mean "without a doubt".

If you look at the bloody lights, they will tell you how many watts each string is, and the maximum that can be joined together. With the number of lights you have, you probably need a half dozen dimmers. And don't forget that you have a natural tree, so when the lights dry it out, it will be a big time fire hazard.
I wouldn't worry about the electricity bill, I would worry about the insurance premiums after you have a fire, and try to renew your policy.
