I am spent!
printed the papers for this week's journal club. exhausted. back to shopping for lamps. please do not tell mila though because I am supposed to be reading those papers I just printed, and also something about she hates the lamp I am trying to buy and it is the ugliest lamp she has ever seen, etc.
p.s. in actual fact, it is a really hot lamp. like actually, it is probably the best lamp.

ps did you know exhausted had a silent 'h'? I did not, until mila pointed it out in a previous incarnation of this post. interesting. perhaps this 'h' is a recent addition?

I never hated your tizio(s)! I must say that of artemide's dynamic duo of classic lamps I used to prefer the tolomeo, but somehow the build quality seems less than stellar on close inspection. that being said, did almost get a floor version of the tolomeo for the dining room, but mila kept going on about something like "budget" and "food" and "shelter" so I had to pass. have however convinced her that the sale prices on the tizio somehow constitute reasonable prices for a lamp, so a little slice of 80s greed-is-good is en route to yours truly!
How many lamps do you have now?? I never knew that a place the size of your condo would require - what is it - 20 or more lamps? Well I guess if you do run out of money you could open a lamp store on the side, I suppose.

though who knows how many lamps we will have in a few days time - I just had to order this lamp in french and laissez moi tell you that my francais was a little rough. (I think I opened with "bonjour une lampe svp pour le shipping au halifax. tres urgente. j'ai seulement deux lamp dans le study au moment et si vous readez mon blog vous would know que j'ai besoin de beaucoup de lamps.")
