lab coat conundrum

my residency program is asking for my chest size for the purpose of sizing lab coats. I have an odd-number chest size, though, and the form only has spaces for even numbered measurements. also I am not sure where on the form to indicate my sleeve length or shoulder pitch. wrist circumference? this form is really problematic. I hope halifax has a good tailor.

Don't get it too tight - you will probably ask for something three sizes too small in order to get what you think is an "au courant" style but what you will end up with is a lab coat that looks three sizes too small. Perhaps with your styling requirements you'd better get made to measure. Otherwise you won't feel good about your appearance.

Listen to your Mom on this one. A resident wearing a tiny little lab coat is bound to be distracting.

Why? I think your mother and I will get along just fine.

Surely to God, there was at least somewhere to indicate the length - or do they expect you to hem it up yourself???
